I just love how the Internet has changed the way we conduct life. For those of us, who knew we wanted something different than "suburbia"...it's an awesome way to track down what that something is and figure out a way to do it. For me, that means my own business and learning new stuff along the way about myself and what I want when I "grow up". Okay, so I am already grown. I want to do so many things...one at a time....
Have you ever heard that 97% of people do the same ol' thing? Go to school, get a job, exist paycheck to paycheck? What about the other 3%? They are the ones who choose to do something different. I chose to be a 3%er 15 or so years ago, when I first met my husband. He had that different look at life that intrigued me. Then we decided to "settle down" and we loved it and still did some stuff different than most, like taking vacations instead of building the addition on our house we so desperately needed. (Wow, that drove my parents NUTS!) So, this year, we decided to kick that up a notch and REALLY go for that 3%. It is kinda crazy, because sometimes when you go for your dreams, there is a sacrifice up front. That is where we are right now. It is a little scary, and thrilling at the same time.
